Registering for the Summit
When does early-bird registration for the 2026 South & Appalachian Creative Placemaking Summit open?
Early-bird registration for the Summit is open now until November 30th. The price of registration increases on December 1st.
How can I register for the Summit?
To register for the summit, please visit our registration page on WHOVA. You'll find all the necessary information and links to secure your spot.

Are there 1-day tickets available?
As of this time, we are not offering 1-day tickets. However, we may open up 1-day tickets closer to the Summit. Sign up for emails to receive updated information.

Group Discounts
A 10% discount is available for groups of 5 more more. Please reach out to ann@cpcommunities.org for more information.

Registering through Government Organizations
CPC does not have a current SAMS.gov number. If you are a federal employee and wish to attend the Summit, you will need to register and be reimbursed directly by your Federal Government Agency. If you work for a State, County or City government or municipality and require a purchase order number or invoice, please reach out directly to ann@cpcommunities.org.

Are scholarships available?
The Lyndhurst Foundation has generously provided up to 25 scholarships for eligible applicants. To apply, visit our scholarships page. Additional scholarships may be announced. Please sign up to receive email updates.

Presenting at the Summit
I'm interested in presenting at the Summit. When can I submit an application to present?
The Call for Sessions will open on October 22nd and the deadline for submitting an application is December 14th at 11:59 p.m. EST. CPC may extend the deadline if needed. Please sign up for emails to receive updates regarding presenting at the Summit.

Travel Information
Where is the Summit held?
The Summit will be held at the Renasant Convention Center in downtown Memphis. Additional locations may be added in the coming weeks.

Is there an official hotel?
The official hotel is the Sheraton Hotel downtown. The Sheraton is attached to the Renasant Convention Center by a walkway. To reserve a room at a special rate, please use this link.

I need information about lodging, food, and transportation during the summit. Where can I find that?

Programming
When will the Summit agenda be available?
The full agenda is will be available January 2026. Please check the agenda for specific "tracks" or types of sessions. Some sessions may require advance registration. To be able to RSVP for special sessions, you will need to register for the Summit.

What type of programs will be offered?
The Summit will feature peer-to-peer exchanges, workshops, tours, performances and special activations around the Summit theme, “Building Bridges: Connecting Communities with Culture and Commerce.” and will be mainly focused on the Southeast and Appalachian Regions. Additional regions across the U.S. may also be represented.

Will sessions be recorded?
There is a possibility that some sessions will be recorded. Please sign up for email announcements to hear updates.

Are sessions offered online?
No, the Summit is in-person only.

Refunds and Registration Transfers
I cannot attend, may I obtain a refund of my registration?
Full refunds less WHOVA processing fees are available up until April 7, 2026. Refunds of 50% less WHOVA processing fees can be given up to April 14th. After that date, no refunds will be possible. Please make sure you check your schedule that you can attend. Refunds are typically processed within 30 days of your request back to your original form of payment.

I cannot attend, may I transfer my registration?
Registrations may be transferred to another person in your organization. This includes staff or board members. Only one person is allowed per transfer and all requests to transfer registrations must be received by April 14, 2026. Refunds will not be given after April 14th. Please reach out to ann@cpcommunities.org if you need to transfer your registration.

Special Assistance​
I have mobility challenges, will there be assistance available?
The Summit venues will adhere to national ADA requirements. If you need special assistance, please reach out via the form in WHOVA, and the organizers will do our best to accommodate.
​
Will there be translation of sessions?
The Summit is unable to provide language translation of the sessions or any accompanying materials.
​
Will there be food provided?
The Summit will provide a continental breakfast each morning and will include a protein, vegetarian and vegan option. Lunch and dinner are on your own, however, there will be receptions that have light appetizers. Coffee, tea and water will be available during the day. Outside food is not allowed in the Renasant Convention Center or the Cannon Center.
