Hands-on tactics and tools that engage communities through projects in real time with real outcomes and impact

Whether you’re an established organization looking to enhance your town or looking to form an arts council, NCCP's BUILD program can help you elevate your work to the next level. NCCP offers technical assistance to help build groups and leadership within a community, our Strategy Lab to perform hands-on creative placemaking projects for short- and long-term results, and research to either help get a project started or see how well it performed. BUILD is designed to provide specific, personalized assistance to communities needing the extra boost to reach goals.

          UPCOMING EVENTS

This program is intended for groups of individuals looking for assistance in developing short- and long-term strategies for their organization. It’s designed to service groups just starting out as well as more experienced organizations looking to further develop their goals and strategies. See examples below.

Strategy Labs are designed to engage communities through charrettes on various scales throughout the communities. Tailored to the needs of the town or city, Strategy Labs employ crowdsourcing tactics and technical expertise to strategize, design, and curate ideas about how underused spaces can be transformed into community assets using creative placemaking techniques.

This program uses data collection tactics such as surveys and mapping to perform a variety of research analyses in hopes of providing a better insight into a community. This can include, but is not limited to, cultural asset mapping, mapping underused spaces, and analysis of a creative placemaking project.
